The rim shape is based on the findings of the latest Wake 6560 Aero wheels. This ensures outstanding crosswind stability and maximum aerodynamic efficiency for a wheelset with a profile height of up to 50 millimetres. Compared to the last generation, the inner rim width has been increased to 21 millimetres with an outer width of 28.2 millimetres. This means that the Peak 4550 wheels integrate 25-28 millimetres in a particularly aerodynamic way. Despite the reduced rim weight of 420 grams, the rigidity of the wheels has been increased. Thanks to the tubeless rim bed without holes, tubeless tires or folding tires with tubes can be used without rim tape. The absence of holes has also made it possible to make the rim well thinner and lighter, while still giving the rim greater stiffness compared to a classic rim well.For the greatest possible safety in all conditions, Princeton continues to rely on rims with hooks, which means that the rims can be used without tire pressure restrictions and the maximum permitted values of the tire manufacturers can be used.
